About
In the late
1970's the appliance manufacturer Brother
introduced the
Compal Galaxie model 870, a rare,
top-of-the-range, computerised,
talking,
sewing machine.
Since they inherited the
machine in 2008 from a Great Aunt,
Katy and
Peter Merrington have been exploring their
relationship with this
unusual piece of
discontinued technology.
This website forms an
accumulative record
of Katy
and Peter's work with the machine.
Field
